This is something my dad and I have in common, our love for mind-benders. He sent me this list of questions, see how many you can get...I'll post the answers in a couple of days after you have time to torture yourselves.

5. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?
6. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?
7. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters "dw" and they are all common words. Name two of them.

6. Well just looking at it logically-- the pear had to be grown in the bottle. I wonder how they do that?
7. dwell, dwindle ( I actually used both these words today). -- I am still thinking about the 3rd.

10. being hit by a pitch (know this from painful experience), catcher drops an in play pitch (it has a name but I can't remember what it is right now), when one of the defensive players choses to get somone out at another base other than first, a catcher interferes with the batter hitting the ball.. that's 4. I have failed my sports test. I don't know the rest. I have softball practice tomorrow so I guess I will learn something.

Ok-- so maybe I am not as smart as I think I am but I get partial credit for some of the answers right?

I was having a conversation about BBC programs at lunch today and was wondering what that tickling in the back of my mind was when the conversation turned to Red Dwarf. Geez Bridget! I now have these questions on my mind.
